Building with the lowest practical footprint
Sustainability is a design and construction decision, made early and checked at every step. We help clients cut the carbon footprint of their spaces without compromising quality.
Most of the CO2 of a fit-out is locked into its materials before the space even opens. That is why we look at embodied carbon from the first drawing, not only at energy use after opening.
With quantities taken from the BIM model we can compare material options, show their impact and choose the lowest practical footprint for the budget. On site we reduce waste, reuse what can stay and keep transport short with local partners.
Where the footprint is reduced
Lowest CO2 materials
Certified timber, recycled-content metals and low-carbon boards and finishes, compared using product environmental data (EPDs) where available.
Footprint insight
Embodied-carbon estimates from the model, so design options can be compared on CO2 as well as cost before anything is ordered.
Reuse & circular design
Keeping and refurbishing existing elements, and demountable joinery designed to be taken apart, moved and reused.
Energy-efficient systems
LED lighting with smart controls, efficient heating, cooling and ventilation, and insulation upgrades in renovations.
Less waste on site
Prefabrication in the workshop, careful ordering and waste separation on site to keep material out of landfill.
Healthy interiors
Low-VOC paints, adhesives and finishes, good daylight and acoustics for the people who use the space every day.
Local sourcing
Local suppliers and partners in each country we work in, to shorten transport and support regional craftsmanship.
Certification support
When a client targets BREEAM or LEED, we provide the product and material information the assessment needs.
